Michael Lohan Spoke Out About Lindsay’s Arrest Because Of Course He Did
At some point, we have to wonder if Michael Lohan doesn’t have his daughter arrested just so he has an excuse to give exclusive interviews to the press. It certainly didn’t take him long to spill his guts to the tabloids after LiLo’s most recent bust.
And, interestingly, he always seems to know what needs to be done to “help” his daughter.
Mere moments after Lindsay – probably still glowing from the clear success of her ‘Liz & Dick’ bio-flopic – was arrested on Thursday morning after a bar fight, Radar Online already had an exclusive interview with the Lohan patriarch, who is convinced that everything that’s happening to his eldest daughter is the fault of his ex-wife, Dina.
Just as soon as he could get on the phone with the site, Lohan said, “Both (she) and Lindsay are in a dark place.”
He went on to say that it's all happening because Dina won’t work with him to get help for their wayward Lindsay. He said if his ex had helped, “this wouldn’t have happened!”
Convinced that he is a father who indeed knows best – but must have learned it later, after his daughter was already messed up – Lohan said, “I told you exactly what would happen and you know I was trying to get Dina on board with me for a long time, but especially the last two weeks.”
“Lindsay is acting out in numerous ways because she needs us and internally she’s hurt and angry!" he blathered. "Again, it’s all on Dina and I wish to God she would stop and resolve things with us to do the same for our children.”
He was apparently holding the phone with one hand and tweeting with the other, because while all this was going on, he also sent out several (quickly deleted) Twitter missives:
“This is for ALL parents who go or went thru the same! Please don't make the mistakes!"
“Do you see what I mean when our children don't have BOTH parents there for them and on the same page! I have tried and tried but takes two!"
“I have been trying for years and especially over the past two weeks but my pleas have gone unheard Children need BOTH PARENTS, not alienation.”
Yes, Michael. Both parents. Even if they find out on national TV who one of them is.
No matter what his reasons or strategy, every time Mr. Lohan speaks out publicly, we have more and more sympathy for poor LiLo. The man makes US want to drink and act out and we don’t even know him.
