Robert Pattinson Makes Surprise Visit at Children’s Hospital
'Twilight' hunk Robert Pattinson made the day of many wee ones when he made a surprise visit to a children's hospital in Los Angeles. He joined the kids on Aug. 16 (in secret) and worked with them to make decorative picture frames in the hospital's Teen Lounge.
"Robert was so nervous about meeting the kids -- he didn't want to let them down -- which is a testament to how humble he is. He was incredibly gracious and kind," revealed an on-hand Child Life Specialist.
Pattinson made his own frame, which was pink and covered in hearts (to match his adorable soul). According to People, he joked the whole time about his "terrible" artistic skills and then stayed behind to take photos and sign each kids picture frame.
He also took the time to visit two 'Twilight' fans with cystic fibrosis who couldn't leave their rooms.
"We couldn't help laughing and smiling when one of the patients was so starstruck that she couldn't speak. You could tell it meant the world to her -- she was tearing up and smiling ear to ear," revealed a hospital worker of the encounter. "The other little girl teased him relentlessly and begged him to do an American accent. They were instant friends."
