Matt Lauer + Katie Couric

Matt Lauer and Katie Couric were the uber-popular co-hosts of NBC’s ‘Today’ morning show from 1994 until Couric departed in 2006. They made such an attractive couple behind the news desk that you couldn't help but wish they'd hook up elsewhere too.

There were a few bumps in the road, but Couric has managed to make the leap from co-hosting to other things, having spent some time anchoring the ‘CBS Evening News’ and now hosting her own syndicated daytime talk show, the appropriately named 'Katie.'

Meanwhile, Lauer's been having some PR trouble lately. He's been accused of helping oust the popular Ann Curry from her 'Today' co-hosting gig, and the show's ratings have been in free-fall. So he’ll probably be asking Couric for a job very soon -- before we don't care where in the world he is anymore.
