George Clooney + Stacy Keibler Broke Up Because the Sex Well Ran Dry

As we previously reported, George Clooney and Stacy Keibler are dunzo (hey, we warned you), and now reports are saying that the split was a long time coming -- mostly because the intimacy was long gone.

(That sound you hear is the "George Clooney is secretly gay!" rumor mill firing back up.)

"They hadn't had sex in months," a source blabbed to Us Weekly. "He's been in Europe, and she's in L.A., and they haven't seen each other in a long time. Some girls would be okay with that and just be happy dating George, but not her."

Nope, she had to go and have sexual and emotional needs. How dare she.

Added yet another insider, "She knew he wasn't looking to get married but there was always that fantasy that he would commit. Sadly, it just ran its course."

"Both sides realized there is no way to have a relationship when you don't see each other," continued yet a different source for TMZ, saying the duo broke up over the phone because when would they see each other to do it in person?

"He was very respectful, adult about the situation. He reminded Stacey that they were friends before they dated and wants to be friends after."

And they never spoke to each other ever again. But every Christmas thereafter, Stacy Keibler would gather the grandchildren on her knee and tell them the story of that time she dated George Clooney.
