When four-year-old Jayden Barber was diagnosed with what doctors said was terminal cancer, the Ohio boy had but one wish: he wanted to meet Batman. And last week, the actor who's played the Caped Crusader in three films, Christian Bale, made that wish come true.

Jayden's mom, Charlene, posted the news on Facebook:

Finally can share!!! Christian sent us to LA and we had lunch at Disney club 33 on wed!! He and his family were so awesome and down to earth!!!

The entire interaction was like old friends having lunch. Jayden did not get star struck but was well aware of who we were with!

They talked movies and superheroes and he was genuinely happy to hear about everything Jayden wanted to tell him. Christian, his wife and daughter are three of the most beautiful people we have ever met!

Christian made these arrangements for us personally and ensured we were treated like royalty. I don't have even one negative thing to say about them. I can tell you that they were just as impressed with Jayden as Jayden was with them.

The trip came just after the Barber family found out little Jayden, who's endured chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, is in remission, so there was plenty to celebrate.

It's not the first good deed Bale has done lately -- shortly after that horrific shooting during a screening of 'The Dark Knight Rises' in July, the actor visited victims and families in Colorado.

He may be done playing Batman, we're kinda starting to think dude wears the cape off-screen, too.
