Not to toot his already much-tooted horn, but James Franco really does look remarkably like screen icon James Dean. Which is probably why he was selected to play the tragic actor in an eponymous 2001 made-for-TV movie.

Franco is currently juggling many jobs -- actor, singer, professor, student, amateur artist, performance artist, peen sucker, Ryan Gosling advocate and Daytona 500 Grand Marshall, among other things. (We wonder if James Dean would have gotten this bored if he'd made it to his 30s.)

Dean, of course, was the ill-fated 'Rebel Without a Cause' star who died at the age of 24 in a car accident. He received an Academy Award nomination after his death, becoming the first actor to ever receive a posthumous nod. His car, "Little Bastard," later went on to be granted its very own urban legend.
