You remember how Gwyneth Paltrow turned her nose up at the 2013 Met Gala?
Turns out she had other guests holding theirs. She thought the party stunk, but apparently it was all her -- literally.
Rumor are swirling that Beyonce is expecting her second child. The proof, according to sources? The high waist of her black and gold Givenchy gown at last week's Met Gala. So according to insiders, Bey's gown was merely a tool to conceal her pregnancy -- in addition to being once of her worst red carpet looks in recent memory, in our opinion.
Whoa. They say that bangs can change your look and give you a boost -- just ask Michelle Obama. But in the case of quirky-cute actress Zooey Deschanel, who's known for her signature fringe, she's rendered instantly and totally unrecognizable without it.
Ouch. Kim Kardashian and her hideous floral Riccardo Tisci dress, which featured matching granny gloves, were cropped out of Vogue.com's slideshow from the 2013 Met Ball.
And make no mistake -- it was not unintentional editing. It spoke volumes.
During the 2013 Met Gala on Monday (May 6), all around adorkable starlet Jennifer Lawrence got a little handsy with Sarah Jessica Parker and her Philip Treacy mohawk headpiece.
Which later -- or maybe previously, the details are fuzzy -- evolved into a glorious J. Law photobomb.
Even tigers get tipsy.
Following their red carpet debut at the 2013 Met Gala, Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn went to the afterparty ... where Woods apparently partied a little too hard.
Nicki Minaj keeps poking at the sore spot that is fellow 'American Idol' panelist Mariah Carey, this time by posing with rumored replacement judge Jennifer Lopez at last night's Met Gala.
Even though it seemed otherwise, Rihanna wasn't throwing shade when she tweeted about Nicole Richie's 2013 Met Gala outfit -- which was one of those looks that took the event's overarching punk theme literally.
Formerly disgraced (at least in the marriage realm) golfer Tiger Woods and his pro skier girlfriend Lindsey Vonn made their official debut as a couple on the red carpet of the 2013 Met Ball on May 6.
The 2013 Met Gala took place last night (May 6), with the A-list and elite dressed in lots of couture attire. The theme of the event was 'Punk: Chaos to Couture,' and while some stars interpreted the theme, others ignored it and went for straight-up chic with no references to the culture, scene or music.
Oddly enough, in a sea of brightly colored gowns, it was the black ones that mostly stood out.
With a theme like 'Punk: Chaos to Couture,' it was easy to understand why some outrageous, out-of-the-box outfits were omnipresent at last night's Met Ball (May 6). That underlying theme invited celebs and stars to attempt to be edgy or over-the-top -- and although some succeeded, but some didn't, largely due to interpreting the concept too literally.
Many stars who are usual red carpet sure bets
The theme of this year's Met Ball was 'Punk: From Chaos to Couture,' and while some celebs took the concept a bit too literally (hi, Miley!), actress Anne Hathaway got it just right in a vintage black Valentino gown.
Last year, Beyonce wore such a tight dress that she had to be carried up the Met Ball steps. This year, she stumbled -- figuratively, anyway -- in an unflattering Givenchy gown with gold embroidery, a leather-like top, a major slit, a casual belt and long, over-the-elbow gloves.
Kristen Stewart brought her signature scowl to the 2013 Met Ball, wearing a red, lace and satin Stella McCartney pantsuit. (Who does she think she is? Beyonce at the 2013 Grammys?)
Gwyneth Paltrow may annoy a lot of people, but there's no denying she has a rad body, specifically her legs. So why would she cover up in this gigantic hot pink monstrosity by Valentino at the 2013 Met Ball?
We know. Miley Cyrus really wants to be punk rock, a fact that was established when she hacked off her hair and bought a pair of Doc Martens a while back. But at the 2013 Met Ball, she interpreted the "punk" theme way too literally, wearing a fishnet-like Marc Jacobs column gown in black, with spiky hair that could put an eye out.
At the 2013 Met Ball, actress Rooney Mara, aka 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,' wore a white lace Givenchy gown that was somehow delicate, precious and assertive at once. She went to extremes and was an angelic vamp, pairing her snowy gown with slicked back hair and severe, wine-stained lips.
