WTF Is She Wearing: Gwyneth Paltrow’s Partially See-Through Dress at the ‘Iron Man 3′ Premiere

Gwyneth Paltrow followed her PEOPLE's Most Beautiful cover nod with a not-so-beautiful, see-through Antonio Berardi dress at the Hollywood premiere of 'Iron Man 3' on April 24.

The gown's only redeeming quality is that it was sexy in the spots where the sheer panels showed off Gwynnie's toned legs and stripper's backside. We think she even went commando.

Other than that? What a mess. This is something 'Project Runway' judge Michael Kors would have pounced on for being "sad."

The dress is a bit futuristic, with the bell sleeves and that somewhat peplum waist. The column shape is flattering for her height and tight body, and we get the play on volume vs. refinement in regards to the top vs. the bottom.

But the color and overly-designed nature and the fact that the front, sides and back don't seem to go together make this a no, no and a no.

You can see the curve of her bootay here, but it feels a bit trashy, since the rest of the dress is trying to be structural.

Look, more butt and thigh. We don't see any pantylines here, so we're pretty sure Gwynnie went commando.

Gwyn and Angelina Jolie may both have dated Brad Pitt, but Gwynnie ain't got nothin' on Angie's "Oscar leg" gimmick. Yeah, yeah, Gwyneth's got gams, but this is not a dress befitting PEOPLE's world's most beautiful person. We can't believe the cookbook queen even deigned to wear it.

Here it is from the back, which is totally disconnected from the white front and sheer sides. The verdict: Not chic.
