Justin Bieber recently had the privilege of being interviewed by lifestyle maven and former inside-trader Martha Stewart, and there's nothing we love more than reading a conversation between two famous people.

It seems like a bizarre pairing, at first, but Martha was part of Bieber's Comedy Central Roast, and who better to ask questions than someone who used your sketchy personal history to lob insults at you on television?

Admittedly, Martha got plenty out of Justin -- from his early hustling as a busker outside his rural Canadian town's sole festival ("People would throw money in the case. That was really fun.") to the borderline-creepy persistence with which Justin's manager, Scooter Braun, sought him out after seeing his YouTube covers online ("He kind of stalked me, basically.") to his current musical status -- yes, everyone, he's really, truly recording a new album right now.

Justin says he's working with Skrillex and Diplo, which is exciting for those who love their  "Where Are U Now" collaboration, and things are finally coming together. He said, "The new album's going really well. I'm working a lot with Skrillex and Diplo and this guy named Poo Bear, who's an incredible writer. We've just been getting our groove. You kind of go through a period where you're in there and nothing comes and nothing comes, and then, finally, it's likebang-bang-bang—you get them all in a row. I'm at a place where I'm really happy and I'm ready to share my music. "

Justin's drumming is apparently featured pretty heavily on the album, or what exists of it right now, anyway. He said, "I'm featured a lot on the album drumming. It's pretty futuristic as well. Skrillex is on a really new wave and has found a way to take my vocals and mix them and play with them and pitch it up to make it higher with these cool effects that sound really futuristic. We have a really good chemistry."

And while there's still no word as to when the album will get a release date, Justin's more concerned with making sure it's actually worth listening to: "I actually don't know. I'm really not worried about when it's finished, I just want it to be perfect, so we're taking our time with it. I've been working with Kanye West and Rick Rubin. We've gone in with a bunch of different people. I'm just trying to get the best sound and have it be consistent and make sense with what I'm going through in my life right now."

Our favorite parts of the interview, though, may be the casual displays of wealth that probably seem so everyday between these two massively famous figures. Martha asks Justin what his favorite mode of transportation is, and it's not one of those reliable bus lines that travel across state lines at a lower rate than something less likely to explode on impact. Justin responds instead, "Probably private jet. That's the quickest and most comfortable...I don't own a jet, but I rent jets in my spare time." Same, Justin.

Justin's also headed to Ibiza as his cool summer vacation, did you know? And he likes the very specific "1942 tequila" as his preferred drink of choice, while the rest of us are usually willing to settle for whatever house liquor is cheapest and most accessible. So honest!
