‘The Young & the Restless’ Star Jeanne Cooper Dead at 84
It's with heavy hearts that we report the death of legendary soap actress Jeanne Cooper, who died this morning (May 8). The longtime 'The Young & the Restless' star was 84.
Cooper's death is said to stem from an infection she got earlier this year, though the actual cause of her death (as well as the ailment itself) have yet to be disclosed. She is survived by three children, including her actor son Corbin, who confirmed the news of her passing today on Twitter:
Cooper starred as Katherine Chancellor on the CBS soap opera from 1973 until 2013.
RIP to a Grande Dame of Daytime.
