Billy Ray Cyrus Weighs In on Miley’s Much-Talked About VMAs Performance
Miley Cyrus' 'We Can't Stop' and 'Blurred Lines' medley at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards has been the talk of the town all week, angering the likes of the man who invented the foam finger, parents everywhere and a teddy bear organization -- but not Cyrus' own father, Billy Ray, who admitted that Miley would always be his little girl no matter what.
But what did you expect from a man who applauded his teenager for dancing on a pole at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards?
While Billy Ray wouldn't say anything specific about the performance, he did reveal to Entertainment Tonight, "Of course I’ll always be here for Miley. Can’t wait to see her when she gets home. She’s still my little girl and I’m still her Dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change."
Billy Ray is very supportive of her performance, if a tweet from Miley -- in which Billy Ray supposedly said he would have twerked, too, if it existed during his 'Achy Breaky Heart' days -- is to believed.
We know, we can't erase the mental images either.
The singer's father was also supposed to appear on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' to talk about the controversy but pulled out at the last minute.
Said Morgan about the absence of his guest, "Billy Ray was supposed to be on the show tonight to explain his daughter's behavior, but... I'm not sure he's quite worked out what his explanation is yet. So we've decided to postpone it. We are going to get the first interview. I know he's watching tonight, so, Billy Ray, good evening, and when you're ready, we will talk about this."
