Best + Worst Dressed of the Week: Jessica Alba, Solange + More
With Cannes and spring in full effect, we witnessed our fair share of dingers, duds and darling attire. There was Jessica Alba (who rarely, if ever, has a red carpet miss) in a lovely LBD, while Solange shocked us with what could double as sleepwear. PJs on red carpets are an absolute no-no, girl.
Here's our weekly recap of the best and worst outfits of the week.
THE BEST:
Jessica Alba
The mom of two looked pretty without being delicate in a sleeveless, frilly and femme black Fendi frock with ribbon details and a high collar.
Minka Kelly
The back-to-brunette actress came alive in a black Dior party dress with a V-neck and flirty skirt nipped at the waist. She paired it with bright blue Jimmy Choos, which provided a fashion-forward contrast.
Taylor Swift
T. Swizzle made headlines for sticking her tongue out in disgust over her pal Selena Gomez's backstage smooch with her ex Justin Bieber, but her dangerously short sapphire Zuhair Murad micro-mini with long sleeves was a stunner. It showed off her legs for days (this is when you can really tell Swift is 5'10").
Jennifer Lawrence
The Oscar winner wowed in Cannes wearing a sophisticated white Dior with embellished pockets. The pop of color from her pink heels was divine. And the layered shag is growing on us. Tres chic.
THE WORST:
Solange
Beyonce's little sister wore a Diane Von Furstenberg pantsuit in bright orange, which only made the loose and leisurely outfit stand out more ... and not in the good way. It's a rare flop from DVF -- unless, of course, you like to sleep in couture pajamas.
Milla Jovovich
WTF? The model and actress has a bangin' figure, and the cut of this dress spotlighted it. But the sofa fabric and that heavy, shaggy haircut did de nada for her.
Emma Roberts
The actress wore a clingy Ohne Titel for Intermix dress that looked like an acid trip in fabric form. The shoes are too clunky, too.
