2013 People’s Choice Awards – Best Dressed [PHOTOS]
The 2013 People's Choice Awards on Jan. 9 was a star-studded event, with celebs of all ages and generations turning up and turning heads. Hands down, the best dressed of the night were a pair o' blondes: Taylor Swift and Jennifer Aniston.
Overall, though, the celebs wore a variety of dresses. While there were some flowing gowns, short frocks were favored by several of the loveliest ladies.
Taylor Swift
Wrapped in a winter white Ralph Lauren dress with a plunging neckline, Swift was the best dressed celeb of the night. She paired her gown with bronzed, smoky eye makeup and romantic, goddess-like hair swept off her face.
She never, like, ever shows cleavage, but tonight, she was va-va-va-voom. It's as though she was showing everything: her face, her rack and her resilience during a difficult time, since she just went through (another) breakup. Somewhere across the pond, her ex Harry Styles is noshing on his heart.
Jennifer Aniston
The always well-coiffed actress looked sexy in a black leather Christian Dior cocktail dress with a full, ballerina-style skirt and skinny straps, which she paired with strappy Tom Ford heels.
Leather can be a bit too "street" for red carpet events, but not on Aniston's hot bod. It was simple, subtle and incredibly scorching, with extra oomph courtesy of her glowing skin. Aniston is always polished and even in a slick and shiny fabric, she looked classy.
Lea Michele
The gorgeous 'Glee' actress was glam in a hot pink, lace Elie Saab frock that popped against her sun-kissed skin. The color was pretty much invented to go with her skin tone. The heels with criss-crossed straps upped the outfit's overall sex appeal. Michele's sexiness was also elevated by the pretty, peek-a-boo fabric.
Julianne Hough
The singer, dancer and actress wore a short and offbeat crystal-encrusted Tony Ward Couture dress in midnight blue. It stood out and landed her on the list since it was designed to look like a starburst on her bodice. It had a '50s housewife hem and silhouette and itty bitty sleeves, making it a classic cut, but it also showed off her leggy physique. Those Giuseppe Zanotti heels are tight, too. It was a combo of modern and vintage at once. A winner all around.
Kaley Cuoco
The show's host and 'The Big Bang Theory' actress was absolutely adorable and approachable in her delicate, petal-hued frock. It was so sweet and confectionary that it gave us a toothache just looking at it. There is only one word for that dress and it's darling. Good choice, Miss Cuoco.
Honorable Mentions
While these ladies looked good in their dresses, they weren't quite on the level of best dressed -- but we still felt they deserved an honorable mention for their efforts.
Rumer Willis
The daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis is usually a little frumpy, but tonight, we were all like, "Who is this fashionista?" Miss Willis sparkled in a black and silver mermaid gown by Alice and Olivia that hugged her curves. When she struck this pose, the silhouette was bangin'.
Chloe Grace Moretz
The petite actress was bright and beautiful in a mod'ish bright yellow flowered dress. At 15, she displayed a serious sense of style not normally associated with someone her age. Pairing a neon frock with black heels? That's as fashion-forward as it gets. She's going to be one to watch on future red carpets.
