Tennessee Williams – Death by Bottle Cap
Tennessee Williams was one of America's most famous playwrights, known for writing classics like ‘A Streetcar Named Desire,’ ‘The Rose Tattoo’ and ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.’
And despite being a man who won a Tony Award, several New York Drama Critics’ Circle Awards and a Presidential Medal of Freedom, Williams was bested by the cap from a bottle of eye drops.
He'd opened the bottle to put the drops in his eyes, held the cap in his mouth, and as he leaned back, the cap loosened and lodged in his windpipe.
