Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood make nice with each other at awards shows and such, but a couple new articles have surfaced indicating modern country music's favorite blondes might not be all that fond of each other -- leading us to kind of hope for some good old-fashioned hair-extension pulling on the next red carpet.

In this month’s issue of Allure magazine, Underwood said she and T-Swizzle aren’t exactly friends. She didn’t say they were mortal enemies or anything, but she did say, “I’m not close to her. We run into each other at events. We’re never in the same place at the same time.”

She didn’t say why, but maybe Swift is still a little miffed about the jokes made at her expense by Underwood and Brad Paisley when they co-hosted the CMA Awards a few months ago.

As if that weren't enough, someone snitched to Us Weekly that “Grammy execs were ordered to keep [Taylor and Carrie] ‘from crossing paths’ at the February 10 show ‘since they hate each other!’”

Apparently, this source is a “Swift pal” who says, “Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steers clear of her.” Which jibes with what Carrie told Allure about the fact that they will never ever ever ever be seen together.

We hope the ladies' reps are wrong when they say the story is “100 percent untrue,” because a cat fight involving divas other than Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey might make the Grammys a lot more interesting this year.
