John Mayer has a new song out called 'Paper Doll' that may be a response to Taylor Swift's break-up song about him called 'Dear John.' And while John doing a song about Taylor who did a song about him is all very meta, even more confusing is the fact that Mayer teamed up with Prancercise creator Joanna Rohrback to demonstrate how to properly "romancercise" to the new song.

We have stared into the abyss. And it has stared back.

Despite Mayer apologizing in February for being a colossal jerk to his exes, T-Swizzle was having none of it, and as recently as this spring was reportedly still furious at the singer/songwriter's continued existence on this planet.

We can't imagine John's new tune is going to help matters any -- because it's allegedly about Swift.

Sample lyric: "You're like 22 girls in one / And none of them know what they're running from," which may be a reference to Swift's song '22' and could tie into the 'Dear John' lyric, "Regret how I ignored when they said 'Run as fast as you can.'"

Yet more evidence: Mayer's lyric "Someone's gonna paint you another sky" and T-Swizzle's "You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain."

Coincidence? Or has the man who once disparaged using one's talent to write a break-up song forgotten his own words? You decide.

And while you're mulling it over, peep the video above -- and let us know how your "romancercising" is coming.
