Jay Z’s ‘Performance Art’ Now an HBO Film With Judd Apatow + Alan Cumming [VIDEO]
Jay Z (formerly Jay-Z) recently lip-synced the song 'Picasso Baby' off his new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' in a gallery for six hours straight and called it "performance art." Now you can call it something else: an HBO film entitled 'Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film.'
Bonus: Much like 'Hot Tub Time Machine' or 'Snakes on a Plane,' you immediately know what it's about.
The trailer for the film features director Judd Apatow on his cellphone looking frightened, actor Alan Cumming just hanging out, and performance artist Marina Abromovic dancing on stuff.
No word yet whether the HBO project (premiering on the cable network Aug. 2 at 11:00 p.m.) will join the six pieces of art Hova promised would accompany the album -- which already include displaying the album cover next to the actual Magna Carta and the aforementioned performance art.
Next? We're hoping he does a one-man version of 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail.' LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN, PEOPLE.
