Cheater, CEO, Coldplay, Chaos: Hinder’s Mic Drop Makes It a Rock Opera

Hinder’s “Lips of an Angel” hits a little differently this week.

The rockers just mic-dropped their way into one of the weirdest viral stories of the summer — the Coldplay “Kiss Cam” moment that allegedly exposed a secret affair between a CEO and his co-worker.

“JUST A REMINDER: We don’t use jumbo-trons at Hinder concerts,” the band posted to Instagram, alongside a photo of the now-infamous couple.

“Come one, come all!” they added.

With lyrics like “But, girl, you make it hard to be faithful / With the lips of an angel,” you could say their 2006 hit has aged into the perfect meme.

The Alleged Affair, Explained

It all started at a recent Coldplay concert in Boston. Chris Martin was trying to spread the love during a “Kiss Cam” segment when the camera landed on a couple in the crowd.

Instead of smooching, they froze. The man had his arms tightly wrapped around the woman, but she looked uncomfortable, stiff, unsmiling, and not into it.

The crowd noticed. So did Martin. “Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy,” he quipped from the stage.

Turns out, he might’ve nailed it.

After the clip exploded on TikTok, the man was identified as Andy Byron, 50, the CEO of software company Astronomer, and the woman wasn’t his wife. She was a co-worker, Kristin Cabot.

Byron, who previously worked at cybersecurity firm Lacework, has been accused of creating a toxic workplace, reportedly blocking promotions, lashing out at staff, and even saying things like: “You’re lucky not to be dead.”

His wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, has since gone dark on social media.

From Viral Moment to Viral Meltdown

Byron and Cabot haven’t addressed the incident publicly.

But what started as a cringey kiss-cam dodge has morphed into a corporate scandal, complete with alleged workplace abuse and marriage drama.
