Chris Christie Makes Fun of Himself Before David Letterman Has the Chance [VIDEO]
Chris Christie, the large and occasionally too much in charge governor of New Jersey, knows he's overweight. In fact, he's so self-aware of his body that when he went on 'The Late Show With David Letterman' on Feb. 4, he was prepared to talk about his girth. And he brought props.
The governor proved that he has some pretty good comedic timing when Letterman mentioned all the fat jokes he's made on his show in the past and Christie pulled a donut out of his pocket and began eating it.
He said ribbing about his weight doesn't bother him -- if a joke is funny, he'll laugh. He then proceeded to read jokes about himself as told by Letterman, including, “Chris Christie turned 50, he blew out the candles on his cake and he wished for another cake."
We wonder if he's ever seen the Hungry Chris Christie meme. Can he haz invisible cheeseburger? He probably shouldn't.
We might never vote for him (especially after he vetoed a minimum-wage increase and a gay-marriage bill), but we're glad to see he has a wicked sense of humor.
Now get back to work, big guy. New Jersey isn't going to exile Snooki on its own.
