Brian Williams Reports ‘Girls’ Baby Name Trend + Pretends His Daughter Isn’t on the Show [VIDEO]

Brian Williams isn't the only Williams family member on television -- his daughter Allison stars on the HBO sitcom 'Girls' as Marnie, a name which seems to be hot on the baby name charts.

We'd like to see Jon Stewart use that to his advantage somehow.

Tasked with reporting the top baby trends of the year, the ever hilarious Brian showed his consummate professionalism by basically pretending he had no idea who plays that girl on Lena Dunham's show.

Says Williams dryly, "The folks at Nameberry say Marnie is suddenly hot because there's a character named Marnie on an HBO series."

Meanwhile, Allison is probably off somewhere crying about it and reminiscing about those nights they watched her sex scenes on the show together. Yuck.
