Mila Kunis Grew Up Being Told ‘Never to Talk About’ Jewish Faith (VIDEO)

To mark the second night of Hannukah, Mila Kunis and Noa Tishby shared a video online.

The 41-year-old Hollywood actress discussed how growing up in Ukraine, her family didn't practice any religious traditions.

"I grew up doing nothing. I always knew I was Jewish, but I was told never to talk about it," Kunis, who moved to the U.S. when she was eight told Tishby.

"I think because I was in a country that didn't allow for religion," the Bad Moms star continued.

Kunis, now a mom with two kids, daughter Wyatt, 10, and son Dimitri, 8, with husband Ashton Kutcher, is much more involved with Judaism.

"I was raised culturally Jewish, so for me it's a culture. And as I had kids, and my kids very much identify with the religion aspect of it, I was like, okay, I guess we'll do [Shabbat] and we'll do the candles," she said.

Kunis added, "There's so much beautiful tradition in it."

When asked by Tishby if there is something culturally Jewish in her family, the actress joked, "Guilt."

"Guilt. I was raised with a lot of guilt, all the time. Superstition and guilt," Kunis said with a laugh, noting she also has a "fear of not having enough food."

"My fear of someone being hungry. Like, the worst thing my kids can say to me is, 'I'm hungry.' Food fixes everything. You're tired? Eat some food. You're cranky? Eat some food," the mother-of-two explained.

"A healthy person's gonna say this is unhealthy and we're doing something wrong, and I understand; I'm working on it. But is it just something that's embedded in me," she added.
