John Stamos Claims He Was Rejected by the Church of Scientology for This Hilarious Reason: ‘They Kicked Me Out’ (VIDEO)
Before snagging the role of Uncle Jesse in Full House, John Stamos failed to acquire another title — a member of the Church of Scientology.
The beloved actor revealed that he was allegedly recruited to join the Church of Scientology when he was 17, but his presence wasn't well received.
Appearing on the "Friends in High Places" podcast, Stamos stated that he was lured to the church by a "hot girl" who asked him to meet her and some friends at "[place] on Hollywood Boulevard" after their acting class.
"I was working at my dad’s restaurant at the time and I said, ‘Dad, I gotta go.’ So, I went and it was the Scientology building," the 61-year-old said.

"Seeing [Grease] was like, ‘I wanna be that. I wanted to be John Travolta, I still do. Well, minus the whatever it is that they do," Stamos joked.
Travolta is one of the most famous faces of the Church of Scientology, having joined in 1975. However, the General Hospital alum was rejected by the church.

He stated that quickly after arriving at the Scientology building, he was enamored by a gadget known as the "E-Meter," which is made out of two cans.
The E-Meter is an "electropsychometer device can indicate changes in emotional states to identify stored engrams and 'levels of spiritual distress,' according to the Church of Scientology's site.
Stamos couldn't help himself, and started tinkering with the device.
"I was doing a Peabody and Sherman [impression] and they didn’t like that. Then, I was just f--king around so much, they said, ‘Get out [and] get going.’ They just kicked me out," he claimed.
Host Matt Friend joked that Stamos was "too annoying" to join the church, a statement he agreed with.
"That’s pretty bad, I must have been terrible," Stamos added.
