D’oh! How Homer Simpson Played a Part in Jennifer Tilly’s Lucrative Divorce Settlement

Homer Simpson plays a major role in keeping Jennifer Tilly looking fabulous!

In the recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the ladies bonded over heartbreak and divorce. 

"It takes a really long time to get over a divorce. My ex-husband was Sam Simon, who [co-created] The Simpsons," the reality newbie said during a confessional. 

I was married to him for seven years. We were together for about 10 years, and then when we got divorced, I got a piece of The Simpsons in the divorce settlement.

"Nobody knew that The Simpsons was going to go on for trillions of years!" Tilly, who split from Simon in 1991, continued. 

The Chucky actress added, "Honestly, every day, I'm like, 'Thank you Sam!'"

Tilly spoke about the money she receives from The Simpsons, which debuted in 1989 and is currently in its 36th season on FOX on Los Angeles Magazine's The Originals podcast, spilling she gets roughly one-third of her ex-husband's ongoing earnings from the iconic cartoon. 

RHOBH co-star Erika Jayne quickly spotted Tilly's wealth, pointing out her over $30,000 Louis Vuitton boat purse. 

"What Jennifer's holding, that looks like a boat, isn't. It's actually art. And it's actually very pricey. She has very unique pieces. And I know, because I'm looking at them. And I'm coveting my neighbor's goods. I'm like, 'godd--n it,'" Jayne, whose high-profile divorce from Tom Girardi played out on the Bravo series, said.
