Ed Sheeran Praises Taylor Swift’s Dry Sense of Humor
Since Ed Sheeran toured with Taylor Swift this summer, they certainly spent a lot of time together (for a while there were even rumors the two were hooking up), so it makes sense he'd know her pretty well by now.
And according to him, she's funny. But not just funny -- British funny.
Earlier this year, many questioned T. Swizzle's sense of humor -- or lack thereof -- when she took issue with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's ribbing of her during the Golden Globes. But Ed, a native Brit, finds her quite witty.
"She's got the most English sense of humor out of any American I've ever met," he told E! News. "She's just dry, she has a very dry sense of humor and Americans usually like slapstick comedy, that's the big thing."
"But she's very English. She's like 'The Office,'" he said, quickly adding, "English 'Office,' not Steve Carell -- Ricky Gervais."
A Gervais comparison? Pump the brakes there, Ed.
But at the same time, Taylor did do an impressive guest stint on 'New Girl' back in May, after which star Zooey Deschanel called her "super-funny." So at least the ginger crooner isn't the only one who laughs at her jokes.
