It's official. Love is well and truly dead.

Hollywood's favorite vertically-challenged couple, 'Taxi' star Danny DeVito and sarcastic 'Cheers' barmaid Rhea Perlman, are splitting after almost 30 years of marriage.

According to TMZ, the pair -- both of whom are about 5 feet tall -- met in 1970 when Perlman saw DeVito perform off-Broadway in an aptly-named show called 'The Shrinking Bride.' After a 12-year courtship, they wed in 1982 and later went on to have three children together.

A rep for the couple confirmed news of the sad separation but had no further comment.

They say humor is the most important ingredient in a marriage, but between this and Amy Poehler and Will Arnett's split, we're starting to have our doubts. (Speaking of which -- hey Amy, since our dream match-up of you and Louis CK doesn't seem to be happening, might we suggest giving Danny a call?)
