Adele Puts Herself in Solitary Confinement to Work on a New Album
Multiple award-winning singer/songwriter Adele has placed herself on "lockdown" for the next several weeks, and she's not coming out until her next album is finished.
If that's what it takes to get new music out of her, it means that no matter how nicely you ask, we'll tell you Adele cannot come out and play. Now shoo.
According to the Mirror (via Digital Spy), she started recording the follow-up to her smash '21' earlier this week in London, with an expected drop date of mid-2014.
An insider told the newspaper, "Four tracks are finished in terms of writing and she's now laying down preliminary vocals with backing music and singers. The rest of the record will be done in L.A. The feel is very much Adele going back to her roots, with some modern jazz and a couple of classic old songs."
The already elusive singer disappeared for quite a while last year after giving birth to her son Angelo, but resurfaced for her Golden Globe, Oscar and Grammy wins.
Now that the 24-year-old already has half her EGOT, don't be surprised if she writes a musical and guest-stars on a TV show -- and does both fabulously.
