Tiger King’s Joe Exotic Got Married in Prison & You’re Still Single… Let That Sink In

Congrats are in order for Tiger King star Joe Exotic.

The reality TV star, who's currently serving a 21-year sentence for a murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin, announced that he got married to a fellow inmate in Texas.

"Never been more proud of someone. Meet my husband, Jorge Flores Maldonado," Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He is serving his sentence at the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

In a follow-up post, the 62-year-old clarified his marriage status to Marquez.

"There was no wedding. We had attorneys do it by proxy 5 months ago. So Jorge could try and finish his asylum case," he wrote on X.

"All the inmates respect the fact we are this serious and plan a life together," the big cat enthusiasts added.

Joe Exotic revealed in October last year that he and Marquez were engaged.

"Meet Jorge Marquez, he is 33. He is so amazing and is from Mexico," he wrote at the time on X.

"Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we [will] be leaving America when we both get out. Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago," Joe Exotic continued.

The former zookeeper was previously married to Travis Maldonado from 2015 until 2017, when the latter accidentally shot himself and died.
