Robert Pattinson hasn't spent his single life pouting or feeling sorry for himself.

When he's not partying with his new neighbors, the 'Twilight' star is using his trademark brooding good looks to promote Dior -- and boy, is he a hottie! Pattinson modeled the fashion house's wares for GQ Germany and revealed why he almost quit acting for good.

When he wasn't busy posing fully clothed in bathtubs, swimming pools and on floors, Pattinson displayed his usual charm and candor, admitting that the paparazzi are problematic and that his near decision to quit acting wasn't a result of tabloids or Kristen Stewart drama, but because of the roles he was getting.

"I don't want to work as an actor all my life either," he admitted (translation via Rob Pattinson Life). "I'm waiting for the next surprise. I once decided to quit acting; it was when I did 'Little Ashes.'" He explained, "I played Salvador Dali and had to do a lot of scenes where I was naked, and I also had to masturbate. I mean really! A couple of days later I was given the offer to do 'Twilight.'"

Pattinson said he wants to wait a while before picking a new movie role because he wants to age slightly first. "I'd like to be a little older and more mature for certain roles -- because you can really be too young for a film," he said. "When I did 'Bel Ami' I was way too young for that character. This guy was an alpha-alpha guy, clever yet dull and unethical. Everyone who did him a favor, in most cases that were women, came off rather badly," Pattinson continued. "The character was simply good in being an a--hole!"
