For someone who likes to call his relationship "private" when asked about it, John Mayer had no problem gushing about Katy Perry onstage in front of a slew of cameras this weekend. It's almost like he had an album to promote or something!

On Saturday, July 6, Mayer dedicated his ballad 'A Face to Call Home' to the 'Firework' singer, who reportedly looked on from the sound board.

Acknowledging that it was his first show since his vocal cord surgery last year, Mayer said, "She was so patient. [She took the time] to continue to get to know me and love me."

He added, "This is for Katy, who is my face to call home."

It followed some July 4 PDA in Philadelphia. Perry posted an Instagram photo of the pair in matching patriotic garb and Perry was, as usual, all over him.

"She watched him perform off stage and watched every second of his performance, singing along to every song and dancing," a source told Us Weekly. "She was so into his performance and gave him a big hug and kiss when he finished afterwards. She seemed all about him."
