Joe Simpson Says He Still Likes the Ladybits

Even though Joe Simpson and wife Tina filed for divorce not too long ago amid rumors Papa Joe had switched alliances and was now playing for Team Twink, he says all that scuttlebutt simply isn't true.

Jessica's dad has been under a media firestorm of late, with the tabloids claiming the former Baptist minister has a 21-year-old boyfriend that was once a backup dancer for Britney Spears.

But those close to the 54-year-old Simpson tell TMZ that he says it's mere rumor and nothing more. That said, even those in his own camp are split, with some believing him and others thinking he's not ready to de-closet just yet.

'Access Hollywood' host Billy Bush also says that in an email exchange, Joe denied the rumors to him as well.

Regardless, where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Or in this case ... something pretty flaming.
