Is it goodbye?

Savannah Guthrie's latest interview has people worried that she may be following in her friend Hoda Kotb's footsteps and leaving the Today show.

"We’re dear friends and we have a lot of similarities," she told Us Weekly on Oct. 10 (Thursday), at Project Healthy Minds 2nd Annual World Mental Health Day Gala in New York City when asked about her co-anchor’s departure.

“We’re basically in the same phase of life,” she added, leaving people to think that she is also considering a change.

The 52-year-old journalist has been at NBC since 2007. Her next job was as White House correspondent for NBC and then hosted the Daily Rundown from 2010 to 2011.

Guthrie graced the Today show with her wit and charm in 2012 as co-host of the third hour.

As previously reported, Kotb announced that she was leaving Today last month.

The 60-year-old broadcaster who has Haley, 7, and four-year-old Hope with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman, has been an anchor on the show for 17 years, but she made the "painful" decision to leave her role next year to spend more time with her family.

In a letter to staff on the NBC show shared on Sept. 26, Kotb wrote: "As I write this, my heart is all over the map."

"I know I’m making the right decision, but it’s a painful one. And you all are the reason why. They say two things can be right at the same time, and I’m feeling that so deeply right now. I love you and it’s time for me to leave the show. My broadcast career has been beyond meaningful, a new decade of my life lies ahead, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie. I will miss you all desperately, but I’m ready and excited," the letter stated.

However, the legendary TV host won't be leaving NBC entirely when she does exit Today, and feels "lucky" to be staying with the network.

"Happily and gratefully, I plan to remain a part of the NBC family, the longest work relationship I’ve been lucky enough to hold close to my heart. I’ll be around. How could I not? Family is family and you all will always be a part of mine," she added.

Today is filmed in Manhattan, but Kotb and her daughters recently moved out to the suburbs, where they can enjoy having more space and their own bedrooms.
