Cory Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson on 'Glee,' has checked himself into rehab for substance abuse.

The 30-year-old Canadian actor "has voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction," his rep told the Hollywood Reporter (and other media outlets). "He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery."

No word on Cory's drug of choice, but it's not his first go-round with addiction -- back in 2011, the 30-year-old said that when he was 19, he clocked a stint in rehab.

'Glee' has two more episodes to shoot before wrapping its fourth season on FOX, and a rep from the production company said his absence won't impact the schedule. "Cory is a beloved member of the 'Glee' family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment," the statement read. "Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return."

Meanwhile, Monteith's girlfriend Lea Michele -- who's also his onscreen love interest Rachel on the TV musical -- issued a statement herself: "I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision."
