Despite postponing FYRE Festival 2, organizers insist the scandal-ridden event will still happen at some point.

On Wednesday (April 17), ticketholders received a message that read, "The event has been postponed and a new date will be announced."

"We have issued you a refund. Once the new date is announced, at that time, you can repurchase if it works for your schedule," the message continued, according to Stereogum.

After a bit of confusion, well, more confusion, ticketholders received another message assuring them the alleged festival was still happening.

"FYRE Festival 2 is still on. We are vetting new locations and will announce our host destination soon," they said, according to NBC News.

"Our priorities remain unchanged: delivering an unforgettable, safe, and transparent experience," organizers continued.

Fyre Festival 2 was supposed to take place in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, from Friday, May 30, to Monday, June 2.

Tickets for the ill-fated event started at $1,400 and went up to $1.1 million.

Shortly after announcing the event earlier this year, Isla Mujeres tourism director, Edgar Gasca, denied knowing anything about the event.

"We have no knowledge of this event, nor contact with any person or any company about it. For us, this is an event that does not exist," he said, forcing organizer Billy McFarland to issue a response, assuring people "Fyre 2 is real."

McFarland pleaded guilty to wire fraud and other crimes linked to the disaster known as the 2017 Fyre Fest in the Bahamas.

Despite being touted as a "luxury music festival," guests were subjected to no music, heavy rain, promised experiences that never happened and food that consisted of a cheese sandwich.
