Ben Affleck is ‘Focused on the Positives’ Post J.Lo Split as Singer Harbors Resentment Against Ex: INSIDER

Despite his RBF, Ben Affleck isn't letting his divorce from Jennifer Lopez sour his mood.

Friends of the 52-year-old actor told People that he’s "focused on the positives" in his life. 

"He’s where he wants to be: close to his kids and in a neighborhood that he loves," an insider told the outlet, noting that he’s "doing well" and "slowly moving" into his newly purchased crib.

"He enjoys working, too, and is very focused on the positives," the source dished. 

However, the Selena star carries "some bitterness" over the way their relationship ended.

"She tried so hard to make things work and it didn’t matter to Ben," the insider explained. "She’s surrounded by family, friends and her kids. She always manages to have a positive outlook. The divorce is difficult for her, but she always finds a way to move forward."

As StarCrush previously reported, Lopez filed for divorce from the Batman star on Aug. 20, revealing that the former kindred spirits separated on April 26 — which happened to be the two-year anniversary of the lavish Georgia wedding.

An insider spilled that the singer is at a loss as her second shot at happily ever after with Affleck ended up being just a fairytale.

"It’s really hit her hard. She’s very upset and disappointed with Ben," the source stated.

The insider dished that the "Let's Get Loud" singer no longer wants to stay in the Beverly Hills mansion the duo purchased together during happier times.

"She and Ben bought the house for the whole family. It’s way too big for her and filled with too many memories as well," the source added.

Lopez shares twins Max and Emme, 16, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck shares daughters Violet, 18, Fin, 17, and son Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Lopez and Affleck previously dated from 2002 to 2004 before calling off their engagement. The former flames reconciled in 2021 after Lopez split from baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
