This weekend, former 'Joan of Arcadia' series star and 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' actress Amber Tamblyn wed comedian and 'Arrested Development' actor David Cross after a four-year courtship.

Yeah, we know. A celeb wedding. Whatever. But since Cross is almost two decades Tamblyn's senior, this is quite the May-December romance -- and that's causing a bit of a stir on the interwebz.

Director (and wedding guest) Lance Bangs posted a tweet showing the happy newlyweds embracing after their Saturday, Oct. 6 ceremony along with the message, "Yo La Tengo playing Superchunk, Mission of Burma, and Pixies covers at David and Amber's wedding."

But back to that age difference.

Tamblyn is 29 and Cross is 48, so they're certainly from different generations. Is this a retread of Courtney Stodden, only with a woman who is famous for being an actual actor (read: a productive member of society)?

Nah. It's not like Amber is a child bride. Despite all the tsk-tsk'ing going on, these relationships just aren't that similar. Amber and David were both old enough to legally drink champagne at their nuptials -- and as far as we know, there aren't any creepy reality shows in the works.

Mazel tov, you two.
