Al Pacino to this day is still haunted by a painful childhood memory.

The 84-year-old screen legend reveals in his new memoir, Sonny Boy, that when he was around age 10, he endured "one of the most embarrassing experiences" in his life, involving his penis.

“I seemed to cheat death on a regular basis. I was like a cat with many more than nine lives. I had more mishaps and accidents than I can count," he writes, noting that a very specific moment even has him "squeamish" to write about.

"I was walking on a thin, iron fence, doing my tightrope dance. It had been raining all morning, and sure enough, I slipped and fell, and the iron bar hit me directly between my legs," he states.

He recalls that he was "in such pain" that an older gentleman had to carry him to his aunt's house, where he waited for a doctor to arrive.

"I lay there on the bed, with my pants completely down around my ankles as the three women in my life — my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother — poked and prodded at my penis in a semipanic. I thought, God, please take me now, as I heard them whispering things to one another as they conducted their inspection," he details in the book.

Luckily for him, his member "remained attached, along with the trauma. To this day I’m haunted by the thought of it."

Another surprising revelation in his memoir was that the Hollywood icon had to start all over in his 70s to save himself from financial ruin.

Pacino reveals his former accountant, who eventually served nearly eight years in prison for running a Ponzi scheme, swindled away his life savings.

The Oscar winner's bank account went from $50 million to zero due to the corrupt accountant.

The Scarface star was living a lavish life at the time, renting a "big fancy house in Beverly Hills," and splurging on international vacations with his family and friends. He became suspicious after realizing his accounts never wavered, despite overspending.

Having to start over later in life was something the Scent of a Woman actor wasn't sure was possible.

"I wasn’t a young buck, and I was not going to be making the kind of money from acting in films that I had made before. The big paydays that I was used to just weren’t coming around anymore. The pendulum had swung, and I found it harder to find parts for myself," he writes, noting he no longer had the luxury of only doing films in which he "related to the part."

Needing a paycheck, Pacino ended his ban on doing commercials, and then signed on to star in Adam Sandler's maligned Jack and Jill.

"Jack and Jill was the first film I made after I lost my money. To be honest, I did it because I didn’t have anything else. Adam Sandler wanted me, and they paid me a lot for it. So I went out and did it, and it helped. I love Adam, he was wonderful to work with and has become a dear friend. He also just happens to be a great actor and a hell of a guy," he writes.
