Both Jennifer Lawrence and Meryl Streep were up for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical at the 2013 Golden Globes. And when Lawrence won, she bounded on stage and exclaimed, "I beat Meryl!"
She was quoting a line directly from the movie 'First Wives Club,' but those who didn't know that (including Lindsay Lohan) went on the attack.
This year, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association honored Jodie Foster with their Cecille B. DeMille award for her lifetime of achievement on the big and small screens. And during her acceptance speech, she set the interwebz ablaze when she took the opportunity to speak publicly - in a slightly dodgy way - about her oft-suspected sexual orientation.
While we sit on our sofas in sweat pants and judge the award season red carpet looks, we always end up drooling over the shiny and very expensive jewelry the stars get to wear with their gowns. Hollywood awards season is now upon us, and some say that performers truly earn their awards with all the pretending to be happy they have to do when other people win.

So the Golden Globes turned 70 this year, and they're looking better than ever. And since the booze flows freely right there on the tables, it's one of the more laid-back awards shows of the season, so we knew we were in for a few surprises - and even more laughs - at this year's ceremony.

Jennifer Lopez is another actress/singer/fashionista who usually knocks us dead at awards shows, fetes and Hollywood events. But when she has a clunker, boy does it land with an earth-cratering thud.
Case in point: Her Zuhair Murad dress at the 2013 Golden Globes. La Lopez was essentially cloaked in a life-sized doily, channeling granny-chic in her long-sleeved, silk dress with lace overlay.
Amanda Seyfried, with her luxe, flaxen mane of hair and those massive doe eyes, has the deck stacked in her favor when it comes to looking good. But despite her natural attributes, she faltered and disappointed at tonight's (Jan. 13) Golden Globe Awards.
