Selena Gomez is on the April cover of Harper's Bazaar, and while ex-flame Justin Bieber is passing out and filing insurance claims and attacking paparazzi, the former Disney starlet seems to have moved on nicely.

Gomez was interviewed in a Hooter's restaurant, of all places, which she says has a place near to her heart.

"My mom and dad had me when they were young," she told the mag, which apparently likes her so much it gave her not one but two covers. "And when I was seven, my dad would go to Hooters to watch Spurs games."

"But he started noticing that when I would come, with my little pigtails, all the waitresses would be like, 'Hey!' So he ended up half spending time with me but with all those cute girls coming over ... and that kind of became our thing."

Later in the interview, she says she doesn't get asked on dates often, citing her non-award show apparel, which the interviewer points out has a ketchup stain on it. So now Selena Gomez is that woman you silently judge on the subway.

But she isn't completely cynical about romance, saying she still believes in love thanks to an expert: Katy Perry.

"I went out with [her] last night. She's so fun and awesome, but it's cool to see someone older believe in love too," Gomez said about John Mayer's maybe fiancee. "She is all about it, and that's how I will always be. I believe in stories like, 'Oh, I met him in Starbucks.'"

At this point, men who run into Selena Gomez and Katy Perry at a Starbucks are thinking they have a decent chance. But do you really want one, guys? Because Selena also vents to BFF Taylor Swift.

"It's great to just pick up a phone and call Taylor and say, 'I have people following me, and I'm having a bad day,' but if I were to say that to someone else, it's like, 'Oh, boo hoo.'"

If any men are keeping track, "enjoys Hooters" can go in the good column and "gets relationship advice from Taylor Swift" can go in the, um, other one.

But whatever happens with love, at least Selena will always know where to get the best chicken wings.
