Kristin Davis Was Ghosted by Actor After Loaning Him $5K

Kristin Davis spilled she was once ghosted by a "now very successful" actor after loaning him thousands of dollars.

On the recent episode of her Are You a Charlotte? podcast, the TV icon said she dated the unnamed man before he became a household name.

“I think this was before Sex and the City, maybe between Melrose and Sex and the City or maybe when I was on Melrose. I don’t know,” she said.

The 59-year-old said the actor "was very talented," but at the time she noticed past due bills from a company threatening to shut off his electricity.

"And I was like, ‘What’s happening?’ And then, I think he wrecked his motorcycle, which is, like, how he got around to his auditions. And I was like, ‘Can I lend you some money?’ Horrible mistake," Davis recalled.

After loaning him the money, she said their "dynamic" changed in a "horrible way."

"But I just thought, like, I can help … I should help this guy. He’s so talented, which he is. Lend him money. I think it was all of $5,000 — a lot of money," she stated.

When the man "stopped calling" her after the loan, she showed up at his residence and started banging on the door.

"His dog was in there, and I loved his dog, and I could hear his dog, but I was like, ‘Is he in there and pretending that he is not there?'" Davis lamented.

He called her later that day and confronted her about popping up at his apartment.

"And I was like, ‘Well, yes.’ … I felt so embarrassed. Like, being messy. I just would love some acknowledgment or whatever, which is kind of a fantasy," the Couples Retreat actress said.

She did not divulge the man's name but said he now "lives out in the country with some children."

Davis has never been married and adopted two children: Gemma, 13, and Wilson, 6.
