Justin Bieber's inner circle is shrinking! Recent reports indicated that his longtime assistant, Mateo Caldas, abruptly quit.

The US Sun reported that Caldas — who has worked with the "Peaches" singer and his wife, Hailey Bieber, since 2018 — peaced out to focus on his acting career.

However, an insider is refuting those claims, stating that although Caldas is no longer part of Justin's team, he was actually let go five years ago.

Caldas, who was reportedly Justin's estate manager and overseer of his Hollywood mansion, received a pink slip in September 2020.

The source stressed to TMZ that any implications Caldas abruptly quit are "grossly untrue."

Justin has been at the forefront of gossip as of late, prompting his rep to deny the pop icon is using hard drugs.

The rep stated the 31-year-old is "committed to supporting his wife and their 6-month-old son, Jack Blues."

Justin has experienced a "transformative" year and severed "several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him."

The U.S. Sun reported Justin's inner circle is "tighter than ever" since cutting ties with former manager Scooter Braun.

"Justin's life has changed a lot and he wants to be careful who he has around him on a day-to-day basis, he sometimes finds it hard to trust," the source told the outlet.

"He's also working a lot less with bodyguards and drivers, preferring to drive him and Hailey himself on outings," they added.
