Judging by how much speculation and frenzy there is about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's “relationship,” it's clear we're in the middle of the final media blitz for the ‘Twilight’ saga. We couldn’t be more thankful, and based on a recent interview, we're not alone.

The vamp man himself is also ready to move on.

Recently, Pattinson told ShortList magazine that he's pretty over playing the brooding ancient vampire Edward.

“Playing the same part for a while, you just run out of ideas," he said. "You feel kind of useless, you don’t know what to do anymore. I kind of got to the end of my inspiration.”

We agree that Patz isn’t the useless one in the series, but we can tell he’s run out of ideas -- as has the saga’s publicity team -- but Rob isn't dumb enough to sink his fangs into the hand that feeds him, either. He knows the movie franchise has afforded him a very comfortable life (even if the tabloids seem hellbent on making him miserable).

“I’m not trying to get away from ['Twilight']," he quickly added. "You’re screwing yourself, you’re saying you think your work is sh** if you try and get away from it.”

That said, these comments may not go over so well with Twihards: “You get to the point where you’re like, ‘I don’t want to do a film for a teen audience anymore.’”

Eek. Mighty dangerous words, but we’re with you, Rob. We’re all ready to move on. We know ‘Cosmopolis’ didn’t do so well, but we still want you to branch out beyond the undead.

Which may, of course, mean finding a new girlfriend, too.
