Another season of 'Dancing With the Stars' is almost upon us -- the 17th season, to be exact -- and it looks like this year, the show got some stars of note.

One big contender is 'Mary Tyler Moore Show' alum Valerie Harper. Despite having been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, she is determined to compete this year.

Another actress to join the 'DWTS' cast is Leah Remini, who was big in the headlines for leaving ScientologySnooki, who is definitely now a svelter version of herself than we're used to, has also joined the show.

Some others that were announced are confusing choices for a dancing competition -- specifically, everyone's favorite childhood science teacher, Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Also joining the cast is Jack Osbourne and Elizabeth Berkeley, who at least has some dancing experience, even if it was in -- and sorry for dredging up this memory -- 'Showgirls.'

Four of the professional dancers are out this season: Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Chelsie Hightower, Louis Van Amstel and Kym Johnson. Instead, some newcomers will take their place.
