In 1999, the WB (now known as the CW) premiered a little show called 'Roswell.' Based on the popular Young Adult books of the same name, the show followed a trio of teens who befriend another group of teens, but their new friends turn out to be aliens. It's a teen drama series with a sci-fi twist!

The show ended in 2002 -- and now, 11 years later, we look back at the cast of the series and see where they are now.

Shiri Appleby (Liz Parker)

Then: Shiri Appleby played Liz, the good-natured main protagonist of the series who falls in love with Max Evans, a fellow high school student who is part alien.

Now: Appleby recently had recurring roles on 'Girls' and 'Franklin and Bash.' She's married to chef John Shook, and the pair recently had a baby daughter together.

Jason Behr (Max Evans)

Then: Jason Behr played Max Evans, a human-alien hybrid who, in a previous existence, was the king of an alien planet. He falls in love with Liz, and their relationship serves as the main focus of the show.

Now: Behr had a recurring role on the now-defunct A&E series 'Breakout Kings.' He previously dated his 'Roswell' co-star Katherine Heigl, but is now married to KaDee Strickland, his co-star from 'The Grudge.'

Katherine Heigl (Isabel Evans)

Then: Katherine Heigl starred as Isabel Evans, sister of Max and also an alien-human hybrid. In season one she dated Alex Whitman, but the pair broke up, only to reunite just before Alex was killed.

Now: Heigl found great success on 'Grey's Anatomy' and in romantic comedies like 'Knocked Up,' '27 Dresses,' and 'The Big Wedding.' She's married to singer Josh Kelley and the pair have adopted two daughters together.

Brendan Fehr (Michael Guerin)

Then: Brendan Fehr was Michael Guerin, best friend of Isabel and fellow alien-human outcast. Michael was in an on-again/off-again relationship with Maria through the entire series.

Now: Fehr is also known for the role of Dan Cooper in 'CSI: Miami.' In recent years he's starred in 'Silent Night' and 'X-Men: First Class.' He recently appeared in two episodes of the CW series 'Nikita.'

Majandra Delfino (Maria DeLuca)

Then: Majandra Delfino played Maria DeLuca, Michael's love interest throughout the show. Maria is more artistically inclined and very quirky.

Now: Delfino guest-starred on the last season of 'The Office' as Dwight's sister, Fannie. She also starred on the series 'State of Georgia.' In addition, Delfino is a singer who's released two studio albums and provided a few songs for the 'Roswell' soundtrack. She's married to actor David Walton ('New Girl' season 2), and the pair have two kids together.

Colin Hanks (Alex Whitman)

Then: Colin Hanks, son of Tom Hanks, played Alex Whitman in the first two seasons of the show. He was in a rocky relationship with Isabel.

Now: Hanks starred on the series 'The Good Guys,' had a recurring role on the sixth season of 'Dexter,' and appeared on the web series 'Burning Love.' His next role is Dr. Malcolm Perry in the film 'Parkland.'

William Sadler (Sheriff Jim Valenti)

Then: William Sadler played antagonist character Sheriff Jim Valenti. Jim's dad was also a sheriff who was often ridiculed for believing that aliens lived among humans. Jim is the father of Kyle, Liz's ex-boyfriend.

Now: Sadler has had a long career as an actor, and his recent credits include the movies 'Iron Man 3' and 'Man on a Ledge.' He's also appeared on TV shows like '666 Park Avenue' and 'Hawaii Five-0.'

Nick Wechsler (Kyle Valenti)

Then: Nick Wechsler played Kyle Valenti, son of Sheriff Jim. Like his dad, Kyle starts out as an antagonist (but a sympathetic one), and eventually becomes a friend of the aliens. Kyle is an athlete and a Buddhist and is often the comic relief of the show.

Now: Wechsler has a recurring role on the hit series 'Revenge,' and has also appeared on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' and 'Without a Trace.'

Emilie de Ravin (Tess Harding)

Then: Emilie de Ravin played Tess Harding, another alien-human hybrid whose mission it is to get pregnant with Max's child and return to their home planet.

Now: You probably know de Ravin best from the series 'Lost,' in which she played Claire. She currently plays Belle on the fairy tale drama 'Once Upon a Time.'
