Who’s Left on ‘American Idol’? Season 23 Top 3 Contestants Revealed!
American Idol named its Top 3 on Monday night (May 12). Season 23 is down one final episode, to crown a winner.
- On Monday, Idol singers performed songs from the Disney songbook.
- Lin-Manuel Miranda was the special guest mentor.
- American Idol next airs on ABC on Sunday (May 18).
Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan have maintained the supportive approach that has defined this show since its move to ABC several years ago. Still, Bryan and Richie have proven they'll be honest when a contestant just doesn't have it.
Who Went Home on American Idol?
On Monday, the five remaining singers once again played songs from Disney movies. Country music favorite John Foster sang "Rainbow Connection" from the Muppet Movie and the "Bare Necessities" from the Jungle Book. Both were received warmly by the audience and judges.
In fact, there was very little criticism of the 10 overall performances. But fans could only choose three.
Here's who went home:
Slater Nalley (18, from Atlanta, Ga.)
Thunderstorm Artist (29 from Haleiwa, Hawaii)
