WTF Is She Wearing: Lady Gaga at the Fame Fragrance Launch [PHOTOS]
At her Fame fragrance launch on Sept. 14, Lady Gaga arrived in a black, princess-like carriage, from which she emerged looking like a fashion-conscious ram thanks to a gilded, horn-like headpiece. She’s an Aries – born March 28 – so it looked like she was recreating a lacquered, leathered shell-like rendering of her astrological sign.
An Aries alien, if you will.
First, let’s be honest. We wouldn’t expect a fashion rule-breaker like Gaga to show up in a tame or classic gown. We know she’ll sport something outrageous, and we want her to. But this is a little too far out there in Style Left Field.
Check out the back. Doesn’t the rolled neckline look like those U-shaped travel pillows?
We don’t know how she’s walking in those sky-high United Nude platforms, either. That, and the clingy texture of her outfit, made something simple like putting one foot in front of the other quite a chore.
Her shoes are a recreation of the fragrance print ad, where she was naked and covered in tiny men. Clever and creative? Yes. Impractical? Abso-freakin-lutely.
