Twin Peaks has etched a permanent place in pop culture, surely to grow by Showtime’s revival, but did you know David Lynch and Mark Frost got a greenlit pilot from only a ten minute meeting with ABC? Or that some of the show’s most famous scenes occurred by accident? Grab some damn fine coffee and a slice of cherry pie, and let the 23rd episode of ‘You Think You Know TV?’ take you through the sleepy town mysteries of Twin Peaks!

In addition to unusual inspirations from the likes of Kyle MacLachlan’s Dale Cooper being named for historical mystery man D.B. Cooper, Twin Peaks came up with the infamous Killer Bob after set dresser Frank Silva accidentally locked himself in Laura Palmer’s room, an idea that stoked David Lynch’s imagination. The series also ended up foreshadowing its own revival, as Palmer says in a vision to Cooper, “I’ll see you again in 25 years.”
