Turns Out Justin Bieber’s Birthday Wasn’t That Bad. Also, He’s Not Trying to Get Kids Drunk.

Tween idol Justin Bieber may have had the “worst birthday” of all recorded time, but despite reports claiming otherwise, it most certainly had nothing to do with trying to sneak his 17-year-old fling, Ella-Paige Roberts-Clarke, and Will Smith‘s 14-year-old son, Jaden Smith, into his goblin-themed circus party.

According to a claim on his Instagram — where all the most official statements are made — the Biebs did not try to get them into the London nightclub Cirque du Soir at all. Also, turns out maybe it wasn’t the worst birthday ever.

As he explained in just a caption with no accompanying photo, Bieber wrote:

“The funny moment when people believe I brought underage people to a club.. U think Will is letting his 14 year old in a club, I don’t think so.. 2nd I love how the club wanted to give the press another reason to why we didn’t stay at their weak ass club so they wouldn’t look bad for me walking in and right back out..i said m ‘worst bday’ but that was due to dummies pushing over my fans and being overly aggressive. Btw it wasn’t the worst bday cuz all my friends from back home flew in I was just mad in the moment”

He then took to Twitter to explain the reasoning behind his rant, writing that sometimes venters just need to vent.

For the record, Bieber turned 19 on Friday, which would keep him out of US clubs (well, the ones that aren’t willing to break the law for a superstar, anyway) — but the drinking age in the UK is 18. So he was legal, but it seems part of his posse definitely wasn’t.

No word on whether Jaden Smith was even there, but given the tight leash Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith keep on their kids, we’d be pretty surprised if he was out carousing in the middle of the night with anyone (let alone someone doing shirtless perp walks). And if he was, he’s probably sooooo grounded right now.
