Say, whatever happened to teen heartthrob Ralph Macchio, who stole our hearts with his roundhouse kicks in 'The Karate Kid'? Turns out, he's still around.

Then:

Ralph Macchio is known best for starring in 'The Karate Kid' movies as Daniel, a young man who learns karate with the help of friendly neighbor Mr. Miyagi so he can defend himself against bullies.

Before that, Macchio starred with fellow teen dreams Tom Cruise, C. Thomas Howell, Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, Patrick Swayze and Emilio Estevez in 'The Outsiders.' And he later starred in the film 'My Cousin Vinny' with Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei ... before sort of fading from the pop culture consciousness.

Macchio didn't really fade away. He continued to have small roles in films like 'Beer League' and 'A Good Night to Die,' later starring as himself on the HBO series 'Entourage' and on the Starz series 'Head Case.'

Ralph also appeared on several episodes of 'Ugly Betty,' and in 2011 he competed -- and lost -- on 'Dancing with the Stars.' Most recently, he had a small role in the film 'Hitchcock' alongside Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren.
