Then + Now: Catherine Bach from ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’
Daisy Duke from ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ gave us something to call our shorty-short blue jeans, but what’s actress Catherine Bach been up to since the good ol’ days of riding around with those Duke boys?
Catherine Bach starred as Bo and Luke Duke’s cousin Daisy. They all lived in the fictional county of Hazzard, Tenn., where they rode around in a ’69 Dodge Charger they called The General Lee and tried to out-maneuver crooked and corrupt local law enforcement officials, like county commissioner Boss Hogg.
And as we all know, Bach’s Daisy Duke gave her name to the cut-off jean shorts still ubiquitous in women’s fashion today.
Bach became a household name — and fixture, thanks to posing for sexy posters that sold millions of copies. Following the end of ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ in 1985, she went on to star in ‘Street Justice’ and ‘African Skies.’
Recently, Bach joined the cast of the long-running daytime soap ‘The Young and the Restless,’ in which she has a recurring role as Anita Lawson, and she launched her own clothing line.
