When it comes to relationships, Taylor Swift apparently prefers to play a more submissive role. Probably because she's too busy jotting notes in her lyrics journal to do much else.

In an interview in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar, the singer with several shelves of awards earned via heartbreak admits that she "doesn't like to wear the pants" when she's coupled.

"It needs to be equal ... [otherwise] I start to feel uncomfortable and then we break up," she said.

"It's wonderful to hand over the reins to your boyfriend when you control so much of these big, high-pressure decisions, you know?" continued the star, unwittingly setting back the women's movement 50 years or so. "That is a huge defining factor in who you choose to be with."

"You have to find the right one that isn't just going to explode into fiery ash and destruction."

Or at least the right one who will leave behind an album's worth of material.
